On Saturday evening, September 22, the Gate of Heaven CYO held its 31st annual fundraiser and awards night in the Gate of Heaven Church basement. Ron “Cheech” Maciejewski was the proud recipient of the Jack McDonough Award in appreciation of his “untiring efforts” on behalf of the youth of South Boston. The recipients of the Reverend Paul V. Donovan Catholic Youth Awards were Jacqueline Beggan, Jackie Czar, Joseph Maiullari, and Harry Cully. And last but certainly not least, the recipient of the Reverend Paul A. White Woman of the Year Award was Mary Maiullari.
