Tommy Noto Deservedly Recognizes As A Good Deed Doer

You will likely hear him before you see him, either because of his distinct voice and laugh, or because there is a whoosh of wind that hits you, as he seemingly races by you.  Tommy Noto is one constantly moving human and it is likely because he is racing to do something, help someone or fix something (usually for someone else).

The personality that is T-Notes was honored with the 2018 South Boston Collaborative Center’s “Community Hero Award”. Raised along with brother Bobby and sister Paula on East 7th Street by his parents, Mary Lombard Noto and Bob Noto, he played sports and especially excelled at hockey, displaying the unmatched instinct, tenacity and energy that culminated in a stellar hockey career at BC High. After college, Tommy chose to become an Officer in the Boston Police Department.  He has been in the BPD for 15 years, and now serves as a member of the BPD’s Gang Unit. Tommy’s is always in the center of efforts to raise money for his charitable interests which range from cancer fighting, recovery programs, homelessness and veterans.

The South Boston Joseph Dodo Nee Collaborative Center’s mission is to provide quality substance abuse and mental health treatment and prevention services to the greater South Boston Community, regardless of status and ability to pay. Andy Ward, its Executive Director, and all of Tommy’s friends, who thoroughly enjoyed the reception held at the Lawn on D park, were universally ecstatic for Tommy and this recognition.
