Cradles to Crayons Hosts Inaugural Boston Collect & Sort

A city-wide collection of children’s essentials

WHAT: Cradles to Crayons® is partnering with Boston Centers for Youth & Families and Boston Children’s Museum to call on Boston residents to participate in a city-wide collection of children’s essentials.

As communities take on spring cleaning and clear out their closets this season, the Boston-based nonprofit asks to keep the collection in mind and donate any new and gently used clothing, shoes, books, and small toys at one of the participating drop-off points throughout the city.

The drive will culminate in the fun, hands-on Boston Collect & Sort volunteer event at Boston’s Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology Auditorium on May 4, 2019.

WHEN: Monday, April 22 – Friday, May 3, 2019

WHERE: Drop-off locations include:

Boston Children’s Museum

308 Congress St.

Boston, MA 02210

BCYF Curley Community Center – South Boston

1663 Columbia Rd

Boston, MA 02127

About Cradles to Crayons

Cradles to Crayons launched in 2002 and has operations in Boston, Philadelphia, and Chicago. The nonprofit provides children from birth through age 12 living in homeless or low-income situations with the essential items they need to thrive—at home, at school, and at play. They supply these items free of charge by engaging and connecting communities. Cradles to Crayons mobilizes communities to collect and donate new and gently used high-quality children’s items. The organization also engages thousands of youth and adults each year in tangible service activities that benefit local children in need.
